Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk / AP & AR Specialist to support daily accounting operations in a high-volume environment. This role works closely with the Controller and accounting team and requires accuracy, accountability, and familiarity with modern dealership accounting systems.

Key Accounting Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Enter and post vendor invoices and purchase orders within Tekion
• Reconcile parts and vendor statements and research discrepancies
• Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
• Review, submit, and track advertising and marketing invoices

Accounts Receivable

• Post customer and third-party payments and complete daily deposit entries
• Prepare and distribute monthly accounts receivable statements
• Reconcile AR balances and resolve posting variances

Vehicle & Inventory Accounting

• Record dealer trades, vehicle purchases, and new vehicle inventory transactions
• Process wholesale vehicle deals and ensure accurate accounting entries
• Maintain proper documentation for vehicle-related transactions
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with company policies

• Miscellaneous or additional tasks as needed, in accordance with the department's needs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of accounting, AP/AR, or dealership accounting experience preferred
• Experience with automobile DMS strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger processes
• Strong Excel skills and close attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• High level of discretion and professionalism

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $21–$25 per hour (based on experience)
